Cookie policy

Updated 4 August 2026

This policy lists what Estimake stores in your browser, what each item is for, and how to control it. It is part of our privacy policy.

The short version: we store three things, all of them essential to signing you in and remembering that you have seen our notice. Our analytics does not use cookies at all. We set no advertising cookies and we allow no third-party ad trackers on this site.

1. Cookies and other browser storage

A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores on your device and reads back when you return. Browsers offer other storage with the same effect — local storage, which persists until it is cleared, and session storage, which is discarded when you close the tab. Estimake uses local and session storage rather than cookies, and this policy covers all of it, because privacy law looks at what is stored on your device rather than at the technical name for it.

2. What we store

Essential — required for the Service to work

Name Type Purpose Lifetime
auth_token Local storage, or session storage if you did not ask us to remember you Keeps you signed in, so you do not have to re-enter your password on every page Until you sign out or clear it — or until you close the tab, if it is in session storage
remember_me Local storage Records whether you asked us to keep you signed in, which decides where the token above is kept Until you clear it
cookieConsent Local storage Remembers that you have dismissed our cookie notice, so we do not show it on every page Until you clear it

These are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, so they do not require consent. Without them we cannot sign you in.

Analytics — cookieless

We measure how the site is used with Umami, which we host ourselves at analytics.cytec.bg and serve from our own domain. It records page views, referrer, approximate country, and rough device and browser type, plus a few product events such as "an estimate was created". It is relevant that:

  • it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — there is no identifier to place there;
  • it does not track you across other websites, and cannot — the data never leaves our infrastructure and is not shared with any advertising network;
  • your IP address is used to derive an approximate country and is not stored.

We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our own website for this, rather than on consent, because nothing is stored on your device and no individual is identified. To be clear about how the notice at the bottom of the page works: it informs you and records that you have seen it — it does not gate the analytics , because there is nothing there that requires your consent to switch on.

Advertising and targeting — none

We do not use advertising or targeting cookies of any kind, and we run no third-party advertising, remarketing or social media tracking scripts. Nobody is profiling you through this site.

3. Third parties

Two third parties may set storage on pages you visit, and only when you involve them:

  • Google — if you use "Sign in with Google", Google's script runs on our login and signup pages and may set its own cookies as part of authenticating you. This is governed by Google's privacy policy . Sign in with an email and password instead, and it never loads.
  • Paddle — our merchant of record. When you open a checkout, Paddle's payment frame loads and may set storage needed to process your payment securely and to prevent fraud. See Paddle's privacy policy .

We have no control over the storage these two set, so it is not covered by this policy. We review the privacy practices of every provider before we use it, and we will not add one that compromises the privacy of our users.

4. How to control what is stored

  • Clear it. Every browser can clear site data for a single site, usually under Settings → Privacy, or from the padlock icon in the address bar. Clearing Estimake's data signs you out and brings the cookie notice back — nothing else is lost, because your estimates live on our servers, not in your browser.
  • Block it. Browsers can refuse storage per site or across the board. Blocking it for Estimake means you will not be able to stay signed in, so the application will not be usable.
  • Sign out. Signing out removes the authentication token immediately.
  • Opt out of analytics. Any tracker-blocking extension will stop our analytics script from loading, and doing so does not affect your ability to use Estimake.
  • If you use several devices or browsers, you will need to do this on each of them.

5. Changes and contact

If we start using new storage or a new provider, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Questions: support@estimake.it or our contact form.
