Acceptable use policy
Updated 4 August 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may and may not do with Estimake. It applies to everyone who uses the Service — on a free plan, a trial or a paid subscription — and it forms part of our Terms of Service. Terms defined there have the same meaning here.
Most of this is what you would expect. The short version: use Estimake to prepare and share estimates for your own work, do not break the law with it, and do not attack the service or anyone using it.
1. Lawful use
You must not use the Service:
- in breach of any applicable law or regulation, including export control and sanctions law;
- to promote, facilitate or carry out any unlawful activity;
- in a way that infringes the rights of anyone else, including privacy, publicity, contractual and intellectual property rights.
2. Fraud, spam and misrepresentation
- Do not use Estimake to prepare or send fraudulent, deceptive or knowingly misleading estimates, invoices or documents.
- Do not use the Service, its share links or its notification emails to send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages, or to phish for credentials, payment details or personal data.
- Do not impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one, including in the branding you apply to shared estimates.
- Do not sign up using false details, or use the Service to launder money or evade payment.
3. Intellectual property
- Your estimates and the content you put into Estimake remain yours. You must have the rights to whatever you upload — including logos, images and text belonging to your clients — and permission to use it the way you do.
- Do not upload, store or share content that infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks, trade secrets or other intellectual property.
- We retain all rights in the Service itself — the software, its interfaces, documentation, and the Estimake name and branding. Nothing in your subscription transfers any of that to you. Do not copy, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the Service except to the extent the law says you may despite this restriction.
- If you believe content on Estimake infringes your rights, email support@estimake.it with enough detail to identify the content and your claim. We will investigate promptly and remove or restrict content where the claim is well founded. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
4. Security and integrity of the Service
You must not:
- upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other code intended to harm, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service or anyone using it;
- attempt to access any account, workspace, estimate or data that you have not been given access to, or share credentials to enable someone else to;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service or the systems and networks that support it, or breach or circumvent any authentication, plan limit, rate limit or other access control;
- scrape, crawl or harvest data or personal information from the Service by automated means, other than through an API we have made available to you;
- deliberately overload the Service, or interfere with its availability or performance for other users.
Responsible disclosure is welcome. If you find a security vulnerability, tell us at support@estimake.it before disclosing it elsewhere and give us a reasonable chance to fix it. We will not pursue you for good-faith research reported that way.
5. Content
Do not store, share or transmit through the Service any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, hateful, or that sexualises minors. Do not use the Service to threaten or incite violence against anyone.
6. Resale and access
- Do not resell, sublicense, rent or make the Service available to third parties as a service of your own. Using Estimake to prepare and share estimates for your own clients is exactly what it is for and is not resale.
- Subscriptions are sold per workspace, so inviting your colleagues costs nothing extra — but do not share a single account login between people to avoid member limits.
- Remember that anyone holding a share link can open the estimate unless you password-protect it. You are responsible for deciding what to share and with whom.
7. How we enforce this policy
- We may investigate suspected breaches, and we may remove or restrict access to content that breaches this policy or that we are required to remove by law.
- We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for a material breach of this policy, for repeated breaches, or where there is a security or fraud risk to the Service or its users.
- Where circumstances allow, we will contact you first, explain the problem and give you a reasonable opportunity to put it right. We reserve immediate suspension for cases where waiting would cause harm — an active attack, an ongoing legal violation, or a serious risk to other users.
- If we suspend or terminate your account under this policy, you keep the right to export your data unless the law prevents us from allowing it.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service develops or the law changes; the date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Questions, reports and disclosures: support@estimake.it or our contact form.
